PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 

                 A peanut butter cookie is a type of cookie that is distinguished for having peanut butter as a principal ingredient. The cookie originated in the United States, its development dating back to the 1910s. If crunchy peanut butter is used, the resulting cookie may contain peanut fragments.


Ingredients

● Margarine - 170gm 

● Sugar - 50gm 

● Brown sugar - 150gm

● Egg (slightly beaten) - 1

● Peanut butter - 200gm 

● Vanilla - 1Tsp

● Refined flour - 140gm 

● Soda bicarbonate - 1/2Tsp

● Salt - 1/2Tsp


Method

1. Cream margarine and sugar.

2. Blend in egg, peanut butter and vanilla. 

3. Sift flour with soda and salt and add to creamed mixture.

4. Form rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls.

5. Roll in sugar and place on ungreased baking sheets.

6. Bake in a moderate oven 195°C (about 375°F) 10-12 minutes.
