APPLE TARTS - How to make apple tart
◆ Ingredients
Pastry
● Flour - 115gm
● Butter - 60gm
● Sugar - 30gm
● Cold water - for mixing
Filling
● Fresh apple - 1
● Butter - 30gm
● Sugar - 30 gm
● Cardamom (powdered) - a pinch
● Cinnamon (crushed) - a pinch
◆ Method
1. Sieve flour.
2. Rub in butter lightly with fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.
3. Add sugar.
4. Mix with cold water to a dough and then roll on a floured board.
5. Cut with medium cutter and line patty tins.
6. Fill three-quarters with apple filling. Sprinkle top with powdered cinnamon.
7. Bake at 375°F to 400°F for 20-25 minutes.
Filling
1. Peel and core apple and chop into fine pieces.
2. Melt butter in a saucepan. Add sugar, chopped apple, powdered cinnamon, crushed cardamom and cook for 5-6 minutes.
