 BLACK FOREST CAKE

Ingredients

● Refined flour - 60gm

● Cocoa powder - 60gm

● Baking powder - 1/4tsp

● Soda bicarbonate - a pinch

● Sugar - 120gm

● Eggs - 4

● Melted butter - 120gm

Vanilla - 2 drops

For Decoration

● Whipped cream - 200gm

● Chocolate (grated) - 15gm

● Cherries - 8 to 10


Method

1. Line and grease two 18 cm (7") cake tins. 

2. Sieve flour, cocoa, soda and baking powder together twice.

3. Beat eggs and sugar over hot water to custard consistency. 

4. Lightly fold in sieved flour and melted butter, adding a little water to get a pouring consistency.

 5. Put mixture in tins and bake at 205°C (400°F approx.) for about 20 minutes.

6. Cool and sandwich together with fresh cream and put a thick layer of cream on top. 

7. Finish with cherry on top & grated chocolate on sides.
