Brandy snap


BRANDY SNAP



◆ INGREDIENTS

  • BUTTER - 28gm
  • BROWN SUGAR - 28gm
  • GOLDEN SYRUP - 28gm
  • FLOUR - 25gm
  • GROUND GINGER - 1/4tsp
  • LEMON JUICE - 1/4tsp

◆ METHOD
  1. Mix the butter , brown sugar & golden syrup into a heavy bottom pan , Allow heat until butter melts about 10-15min.
  2. Cool slightly butter mixture & sieve the flour in mixture.
  3. Add the lemon juice & mix well & add the ground ginger.
  4. Drop flour teaspoon full of the mixture into each of the prepared baking tray to make neat circle about 10cm.
  5. Bake for 10-15min
  6. Remove each tray from the oven & leave for a minute to firm slightly & the lift from baking tray . The mixture just needed to be firm enough to remove but pliable enough to shape.
  7. Quickly roll a circle of warm mixture around the wooden spoon having the join underneath . Press the joint lightly together to seal them slice the brandy snap off the spoon & leave it to cool 
  8. Serve with whipped cream & strawberry.
